Live Journal Obsession Zine

The LiveJournal Obsession zine** is a perzine consisting of excerpts from my personal online journal during the ages of 18-20 through the years 2004-2005. I originally self published copies of The LiveJournal Obsession in 2015; it contains journal entries, photos, poetry, and relics of times since past.

Select copies over the years were added to library collections across the United States, and I was recently inspired to republish it after a college student at Simmons University reached out to me sharing that they, 20 years after the original writings, still found the entries relatable and were using my zine for a class project! 

Each zine purchase includes exclusive 1” pinback buttons featuring the iconic 8 bit LiveJournal “goth girl” emoticons that often accompanied my entries.

**A “zine” (pronounced Z-EE-N) is short for magazine, a small self published writing form that has seen significance since the times of the printing press and its resurgence in the 70s, again in the 90s riot grrrl and punk movements, and even still today. "Perzine" means it contains personal stories instead of a collective of works by various authors.
